Report "Zebra"

ZEBRA

Zebra are several species of African equids (horse family) united by their distinctive black and white stripes. their stripes come in different patterns, unique to each individual.
They have excellent hearing and eye sight and can run at speed of up to 35 miles per hour. They also have a powerful kick, that can cause serious injury to a predator, like a lion, a hyena, or an African wild dog.
Usually, the lead male of the herd sounds alarm if danger is spotted and stays at the back of the group to defend agains predators if necessary, while the females and the youngsters run away.
Zebra often trot when moving to new place, which is fairly fast but easy gait for them to use over the long distance they may have to travel. Their hard hoves are design to with stand the impact of their body weight and to run easily over rocky ground. When resting at night, sebras lie down while one stands watch to prevent an ambush.
